Hesket Farm garden is a constant work in progress with new and established beds continuing to evolve. In the last two years 8 new or expanded garden beds have been developed.

New to the garden

In addition to revamping many of the older garden beds:

A specific rose garden area

A large bed put aside predominantly for native Australian plants

A large section developed for azalias, camellias and rhododendrons

A dry creek bed (well for most of the year) and garden

The revamped vegetable patch and rose arbours

Expanded berry patch

Replanting of the cottage garden to include climbing roses, many flowing bulbs and other delights

We Plant for the Future

Situated in the Macedon Ranges, Hesket is on the northern slopes of Mt Macedon.

The local towns of Woodend and Romsey, and the slight further afield Kyneton, provide most of the services anyone needs.

A visit to the region provides opportunities to:

Get active and wander or bike the numerous trails and roads in the region. The walking trails of Mt Macedon are plentiful and you'd need more than one visit to explore their extent. The quiet country roads provide scenic options for bike riding from the very strenuous (the slopes of Mt Macedon) to flat valley roads

Visit any of the wineries in the region and sample local wines and experience their hospitality

Gourmet wanderings around the cafes and restaurants in the townships

The Macedon Ranges is home to many excellent Art Galleries with something for everyone on offer
